🫶 Key Programs Launched
1. Meal-for-Meal Program
Every order placed at Pop’s Kitchen triggered the donation of one freshly prepared meal to someone in need. With the support of our customers and volunteers, we served over 42,000 meals to underserved individuals in 2024.
2. Chef Training & Upliftment Program
Thanks to the consistent support of customers placing daily and weekly orders, we launched a chef training initiative aimed at underprivileged youth and home cooks seeking professional growth.
Impact:
- 27 aspiring chefs trained in 2024
- Curriculum included hygiene, multi-cuisine skills, and food entrepreneurship
- 9 chefs placed in professional kitchens, cafes, and restaurants
- 4 chefs hired full-time at Pop’s Kitchen
This initiative not only provided employment but transformed lives through skill-building and confidence.
3. Elderly Meal Outreach
We identified senior citizens living alone and began a weekly delivery initiative.
Impact: 500+ elderly people received nutritious home-style meals regularly.
4. Student Tiffin Aid
Subsidized tiffin services were offered to college students facing financial challenges.
Impact: 200+ students enrolled under this plan.
Empowering Through Employment
Pop’s Kitchen provided job opportunities, particularly to women from disadvantaged communities.
- 8 full-time staff hired from local areas
- 5 promoted into supervisory roles
- Skill training in hygiene, food safety, and digital literacy
📸 Stories That Matter
Geeta Devi, single mother of 3, joined us as a kitchen helper. In 12 months, she was promoted to lead operations for lunch dispatch. “Pop’s Kitchen gave me dignity, confidence, and purpose,” she says.
Ravi, a 21-year-old from a low-income family, trained as a chef under our program and is now working at a 3-star hotel in Mussoorie. “I owe my career to the training I received at Pop’s Kitchen,” he shares.
